MARQUIS 84: Come together! Roses & Love Ball 2025

There was no better date than February 14, 2025, Valentine’s Day, for the Roses & Love Ball in Munich. Here, with an international star line-up, a radiant sign of inclusion and charity was set. Under the patronage of entertainer and icon Gloria Gray, the idea ofenriching Munich’s ball culture with a touch of extravagance and creating a platform for everyone – regardless of origin or lifestyle – was brought to life.
This idea comes from the event agency Benninger.eberle. Christian Eberle, who is also known for SubrosaDictum and above all for the legendary Avantgardista. Hisvision became a sparkling reality with the Roses & Love Ball.

One of the many highlights of the evening was the avantgarde fashion show, which delighted guests with opulent and visionary creations. Designers such as Epic Couture,Benno von Stein, Fleurinna Wings, LEQLÉ, Fernando Berlin, Tomto Corsetts, Perlensau Berlin, LorandLajos and Trachten Angermaier presented their latest collections.

The show was produced by Ramona Wagner, with Patrick Patient as choreographer, while Alex Frei took over the overall direction of the evening.

MARQUIS was also on site and was able to convince themselves of the good mood, the willingness of the visitors to donate and the phenomenal show. In addition to thefashion show, there were show and singing interludes by Mugler Muse and fashion icon Nina de Lianin, master chansonnier Tim Fischer, entertainer Sven Ratzke, the incredible Jackson Twinz, Sandra Steffl, the DJs Roberto Q. Ingram and DJ Bedrud, as well as Giulia Siegel, Albrecht von Weech, Patrick Granado, Vince Voltage and so many more!

With the great atmosphere, the great execution and the many star guests, it wasclear that the call was loud to repeat this ball. Christian Eberle and Ramona Wagner therefore announce: “The amount of positive feedback confirms the desire for a repetition. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the next Roses & Love Ball in 2026 will once again take place at theDeutsches Theater in Munich!” We are very happy!

The net proceeds of the charity gala will benefit the Münchner für Münchner e.V., the Munich Children’s Hospice Foundation – AKM and the Munich Rainbow Foundation. Once again Ramona Wager and Christian Eberle: “We would like to thank all artists, designers, presenters, DJs and helpers for their commitment and look forward to the next Roses & Love Ball.”

And if you don’t want to wait until then, the AVANTGARDISTA is highly recommended. On November 8, 2025, the fashion highlight of the year in Munich will be celebrated here and the boundaries of fashion will be redefined.

MARQUIS 84: OBSERVATIONS

It is the final phase of issue 84. My 17th issue as editor… How time flies. Just a few years ago, I was a fetishist, but when it came to events and parties, I was absolutely inexperienced, in some areas even naïve. To learn and get to know the scene better, I threw myself headlong into it and was at every party that came my way, got to know an incredible number of interesting people and also enjoyed the tingling with each new event.

Whether German Fetish Ball, Passion, Avantgardista and whatever they are called, each event was exciting and has its very own dynamic. I noticed quite quickly that there is a hard core that you meet at several events, maybe not at all, but at some: fetishists, BDSMers, partygoers who have the opportunities professionally and financially and take advantage of them.

The question I asked myself is: With all these intersections, how big is the scene of partygoers really? How many people go to fetish/BDSM parties, to fairs of this kind? Short answer: I don’t know, maybe a few thousand, ten to twenty thousand maybe? I can’t say. The long answer: Far too few! Kink, BDSM, fetish, all of this thrives on interaction, discovery and enjoyment! Yesterday I talked to Frank from the Fetish Celebration. He had to tell me that the Fetish Celebration will not take place. This is a great pity and sad news, and it brings me to my request to you, dear reader:

Go to parties! Dare to try something new! And enjoy the tingling!

The scene is small and would actually have to grow significantly to offer enough space for exciting events, great artists and innovations for many years to come! Therefore: Help keep the scene alive! Thirty years ago, MARQUIS was a partner exchange, shop directory, idea and impulse generator all in one. In the meantime, there is the internet, many say, but there devotion and intensive preoccupation with a topic have given way to a certain arbitrariness and short-livedness. The MARQUIS has a different relevance today.

Enjoy the new edition, go to events and live it up!

Long live the sin!

Andreas Reichardt
